Maximizing the Role of Leadership Teams for the Kansas Education Systems Accreditation (KESA) Process (Greenbush)

Description: 

In the past, the role of the school site council diminished as school improvement narrowly focused on only improving math and reading performance across schools. However, it is now apparent that a quality school must encompass much more. Kansas has a broader vision of what schools must do to prepare students to be successful, led by the Kansas State Board of Education’s Kansans Can vision and supported by KSDE’s new school accreditation system, KESA.

This half-day workshop will help principals, building leadership teams, and site council members explore the new role, benefit and value of the school-level site council in KESA. As part of this interactive workshop, ideas and resources will be shared on out how school site councils can support school improvement efforts, strengthen their membership and maintain focus on accomplishing goals. 

This workshop is from 09:00am - 12:00pm.  Lunch will be provided.

Cost: $75 per person

         $200 for groups of 3 or more

         Site Council Chairs attend at no cost
